What is a Drum Magnet?
Semi-magnetic drum systems are generally designed in a closed structure and have a machine-like appearance. These systems perform metal separation automatically and efficiently in continuous and high-volume production lines.
These advanced separation systems using neodymium magnets have become an indispensable part of quality control in industrial production. Thanks to these systems, product safety is increased while the efficiency and reliability of production processes are significantly enhanced.
How does it work?
As the products flow over the drum, the metal parts are attracted by the magnet. The semi-magnetic drum carries these metals to the end line of the magnet. When the metals pass the magnet line, they are dropped to the ground. There are 2 types of different installation types. When the magnetic drums are mounted on the conveyor belt, the metals are pulled upwards by the drum. When the drum magnets are mounted below the conveyor, all products flow on top of it and the metals are separated after going around the drum.
