Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions about our products and magnetic filters:
- Can magnetic filters be used for powders or dry products?
- Answer: No. Magnetic filters are designed to extract iron particles from liquids.
- How are the iron particles captured cleaned?
- Answer: In manual cleaning filters, the magnetic bars are removed and cleaned by hand. In automatic cleaning filters, the metals fall off on their own.
- Can the filter housing be made from regular metal instead of stainless steel?
- Answer: No. Metal affects the magnetic field and reduces efficiency. Therefore, we only use stainless steel.
- Is the magnetic filter’s housing also magnetic?
- Answer: No. Only the rods inside the housing are magnetic.
- Is electricity required to operate the magnetic filter?
- Answer: No. Permanent magnets are used, so no power source is needed.
- Can we use magnetic filters in highly abrasive/acidic liquids?
- Answer: Yes. We apply special coatings.
- What is the lifespan of a magnet?
- Answer: Magnets retain their strength permanently. However, they can demagnetize if damaged or exposed to excessive temperatures. They may lose 2-3% of their power over 5 years.
- How can we measure the strength of the magnet?
- Answer: It is measured with a Gauss meter, and each magnetic filter is delivered with a Gauss report valid for 1 year.
- Can we replace the Magnetic Rod?
- Answer: It depends on the production method. In some cases, replacement is possible.
